Villa Rundle Gardens closed to the public from MondayThe Ministry for Gozo has said that the Villa Rundle Gardens in Victoria, Gozo will be closed to the public as from this Monday, the 21st of June 2010, due to the commencement of works covered by PA3811/06 and PA5329/07.

These works relate to the Upgrading of the Villa Rundle Gardens Project which will be co-financed through the European Regional Development Fund – Cohesion Policy 2007-2013.

      Is this the same Villa Rundle Project announced with much ado in Winter (March )2007? Please enlighten us.

      This has been going on for years now.This time it will happen as next door is finished now ..You know what I mean Vic.

      Of course Rundle Gardens does really need an upgrading in every aspect without doing any damages to the trees and the field designs, part of which were unfortunately damaged to make way for the road and for those white elephant projects which were carried out years ago.

      But what about the Victoria Playing Field which is in a dilapidated state; an eyesore to all local as well as foreign passers by?

      Maybe this time Nadur Ministers will get the co financed through the European regional, for the Nadur church to pay the workers that constructed the cemetery as at the moment the church run out of finances and the work stoped
