The Nadur Local Council said today that it deplored the act of vandalism that was committed in the San Blas playing field. Thieves stole 32 pieces from the saftey rubber mat that is used to protect children on the playground equipment.
“This is a cowardly act of vandalism for which the whole community of Nadur will suffer,” the council said.
The Nadur Local Council continued by saying that over the years “it has invested a lot of effort and money to creat quality public areas and to keep them well maintained. This work has now all been put back by this act of vandalism.”
The council thanked the Police for their prompt intervention and the ongoing investigations. “Members of the public can please contact the police or local council with any information about the theft, anonymously, if they so wish,” the council concluded.
