In line with its commitment to promote local talent, Banif Bank said that it is proud to sponsor the Chorus Urbanus Productions ‘Il-Kuncert tal-Milied 2011,’ which will be held at the St John’s Co-Cathedral, Valletta this coming Friday, the 16th of December with a second performance being held at Fontana Parish Church on Sunday, the 18th of December 2011.
‘Il-Kuncert tal-Milied’ will be the 14th edition by Chorus Urbanus which will include the participation of various soloists and the Urbanus Festival Orchestra who will accompany the choir for this concert. The performance will also feature the Choir’s Junior Section with a selection of a number of carols. The musical direction will be by Dr John Galea who will be presenting his own Missa Fons Vitae which was premiered earlier this year during the centenary festivities at the Fontana Parish Church.
“It is an honour for Banif Bank to be a sponsor in such an event where local talent can be expressed and enjoyed by the local community. As part of its Corporate and Social Responsibility, supporting the arts is always high on the Bank’s agenda since this is one concrete way of showing our commitment toward the society which we operate in,” commented Ms Marie Josette Vella Magro, Branch Manager of the Banif branch in Victoria, Gozo.
All proceeds from these concerts will be donated to Dar tal-Providenza, Arka Foundation and The Community Chest Fund.
