On Saturday the Emergency Response and Rescue Corps of Gozo, in collaboration with the National Blood Transfusion Service and the Arkadia Commercial Centre organised a Blood Drive at Arkadia in Victoria.
Forty-three people turned up to donate blood, at the four-hour blood drive, the majority being first time blood donors.
The E.R.R.C. would like to advise the general public about the importance of blood donation. Blood cannot be manufactured but could only made available to those in need by means of blood donations only.
The E.R.R.C. would like to thank the management of Arkadia Commerical Centre for providing its premises to host the blood drive and the nursing staff of the National Blood Transfusion Service for their sterling service.
