Presentation on whether nature can improve quality of life

A short presentation entitled ‘Can nature create new economy, can nature improve the quality of our lives?’is taking place next Sunday at the Gozo university campus in Xewkija. It is aimed at anyone interested in permaculture/ agriculture/ farming etc.
The presentation will be given by Censu Caruana (Censu Caruana is involved in various courses such as Different Paradigms of Development, Humans, Society and the Environment; Education for Sustainable Development for Adults, Youth and Community; Environmental Education and Communication) and Jos Willemsen (Dutch landscape-developer works on eco-effective solutions and earning models in nature-recreation and nature-farming)
They said that they will introduce those present to “a world of ecology and its relationships and how we can use these basics of nature in turning the landscape greener and improve earning models for farmers as well as other citizens.”
Censu and Jos said that they will also discuss “how to create fringes of woods and swales along slopes to create biomass containing water and reduce temperature. How these fringes can be created by earning models in small- scaled ecotourism related to nature-farming, wellness, training and eco-lodge renting.”
The free presentation will be followed by an open conversation: Can we apply these principles on Gozo?
