Mnarja band rocks the audience with 'Big Band Adventures'Celebrations are currently taking place in Nadur for the feast of St. Peter and St. Paul which is on Saturday, the 29th of June. The week of festivities got off to a great start on Monday evening with the ‘Big Band Adventures,’ annual syphonic concert, by the Mnarja Band directed by Mro. Joseph Grech.

The concert took place at Arc Dun Martin Camilleri square, under the patronage of the Minister for Gozo, Dr Anton Refalo.

The band entertained the large audience with a varied programme including, Innu Marcia by Vincenzo Ciappara, The Ten Commandments by Elmer Bernstein, Semiramide by G. Rossini, Syphonic Dances from Fiddler on the Roof by Jerry Bock, Midway March by John Williams, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang by Richard & Robert Sherman with singer Rebecca Bonello, Great Movie Marches arr. by John Moss, Hit Giganten arr. by Anthony Kosko, Music by John Miles with singer Jolene Samham, Symphony of the Seas arr. by Darrol Berry and Innu lil Banda Mnarja by Vincenzo Ciappara.

Mro. Antoine Theuma presented the premiere of his new religious hymn “Int Hienja Ruma” while directing the Mnarja Band together with the choir ‘Jubilate Deo.’
