The Minister for Finance, Edward Scicluna, met yesterday with the Economic Affairs Review Board of the student organisation PULSE to receive their Pre-Budget 2014 recommendations.
The meeting touched upon various aspects of the Government’s recently-published Pre-Budget 2014 Consultation Document. The student organisation board also requested the Minister’s feedback on several points, such as economic stability, fiscal responsibility, and pension sustainability.
The student organisation board also tabled proposals for the upcoming budget across various sectors aimed not only at student welfare, but also touching upon areas like education, energy, tourism, and Malta’s sister island of Gozo.
Prof. Scicluna welcomed the opportunity to discuss matters of a national bearing with politically and economically involved students, especially welcoming how the student organisation’s budget recommendations went beyond student affairs and considered the country’s wellbeing as a whole.
