Today, Mothers Day, Dr. Justyne Caruana Parliamentary Secretary for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and Active Ageing, paid a visit to the elderly at Residenza Sant’ Anna, in Victoria, Gozo.
During her visit she congratulated all the Mothers and Grandmothers and presented them with gifts of food and flowers to mark this special day for Mothers everywhere.
Last Friday, also on the occasion of Mothers Day, those Mothers of disabled persons were able to enjoy a day of rest, when along with their children they attended the MCAST Institute of Community Services.
The Mums were able to relax with a pampering session of hair and beauty treatments, while their children were looked after by the Child Care students at the Institute of Community Services. The children prepared a small surprise gift for their Mums as a thank you for taking care of them and to celebrate this special day.
Dr. Justyne Caruana visited the MCAST Centre and thanked the students. She also encouraged them to continue their studies, adding that their work is very valuable and of great importance to the community.
