On Sunday evening The Gozo CCU Foundation held the very popular, annual fundraising, ‘Concert Under the Stars.’ The evening was a great success, with everyone enjoying al fresco dining and entertainment, in beautiful surroundings.
Dame Carmen Bellamy Chairperson of the Foundation, in her welcoming address said, that the project for the updating of the Resuscitation Room in the Accident and Emergency Department at the Gozo General Hospital has now been completed.
“The Foundation had approached the CEO of the Hospital and together with her staff we embarked on this project. I thank Dr Nadine Delicata, CEO of the General Hospital, the engineers and staff for their hard work and co operation on this project, Carmen Bellamy said.
The Room is now completely refurbished with new hygienic wall and floor coverings. The Foundation has now installed new state of the art equipment which is helping to save lives. Carmen said, “The Resus Room is now the pride of the A&E Department. It is bright and cheerful and the Staff are proud of it.”
Ms Bellamy added, “a couple of years ago, The Foundation purchased 2 V60 Ventilators for the CCU Ward. Please continue to support us to achieve this aim. My Committee and I will work hard to achieve this noble aim.”
