BOV GFA cup fixtures drawn for th 2015-2015 seasonFixtures for the BOV GFA Cup 2014-2015 were drawn during a press conference held at Bank of Valletta’s Head Office in Santa Venera. The fixtures were drawn by Horace Laudi, Gozo Regional Manager at Bank of Valletta and Alvin Grech, President of the Gozo Football Association accompanied by Joe Bajada, General Secretary of the GFA.

“Bank of Valletta is synonymous with local sport and also with the GFA cup,” said Mr Laudi, “Apart from this competition, Bank of Valletta supports the BOV GFA Player of the month, to which it adds a social dimension through a monetary donation to a charity of the winning player’s choice.”

Thanking Bank of Valletta for its continuous support, Alvin Grech said, “The GFA Cup competition first took place in 1972-73 and is played between all clubs in the two divisions in Gozo. We are looking forward to another hotly contested competition that is always full of surprising results.”

This year’s BOV GFA Cup is the 46th edition of this prestigious trophy. The preliminary round will be played between the 14th and the 16th November 2014 at the Kercem Stadium and the Sannat Ground with the quarter finals on the 22nd and 23rd November at the same stadium. The semi-finals and final, both being played at the Gozo stadium will be played on the 19th April and the 26th April 2015 respectively.

The winner of the BOV GFA Cup 2014-2015 will then contest the BOV Super Cup against the 2014-2015 GFA league champions on the 3rd May 2014, the match that will round up the Gozo Football season.
