Bethlehem f’Ghajnsielem is opening in just three weeks time, and the organisers said that promotion for the event is gathering pace with several initiatives aimed at attracting more visitors to this year’s edition of the Nativity Village.
One of which is the opportunity to enjoy a night at the Bethlehem Inn as part of Bethlehem f’Ghajnsielem.
Fort Chambray, for the first time will feature prominently in the Nativity Village story, and will be turned into a Roman fortress with soldiers and horses etc. Visitors will also have the opportunity embark on small river crossing using a traditional Maltese boat.
There will also be an interactive smartphone application narrating the Nativity story while the visitors walk around the sites of the village.
During the last few days it has also been announced by the organising committee that the inauguration ceremony will be broadcast live on TVM.
The activities start with a Christmas Concert by the St Joseph Band outside the main entrance at 4.30pm and at 5.30pm, HE Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca, President of Malta will officially open the four-week-long event.
