AD insists on access to assistive technology for persons with disabilityDuring the week for persons with disability, Dr Claire Azzopardi Lane spokesperson for Sports and Disability of Alternattiva Demokratika – The Green Party, continued to reiterate the importance of moving on from "the culture of charity Malta is so used to, towards a rights based cultural approach."

"Technology can be seen as a way of reaching the rights of persons with disability and this is the main theme the National Commission for Persons with Disability chose to focus on this year."

She added, "the right of making an informed choice, the right of social inclusion and the right to work are among the examples where rights can be obtained through technology.
