Gozo commemorates Republic Day with a concert on Saturday

Republic Day is being celebrated this coming Sunday, the 13th of December, with events which are being organised by the National Festivities Committee of Malta and the National and Regional Celebrations Committee – Gozo, together with the Office of the President.
On the 13th of December 1974, the Maltese Constitution was amended and Malta became a Republic, having Sir Anthony Mamo as its first President. Activities marking this historic date take place every year
In Gozo on Saturday evening a 'Il-Kuncert ta' Jum ir-Repubblika,' a Musical Concert by the Classique String Ensemble will be celebrating Republic Day, under the patronage of H.E. President Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca, taking place at the Ministry for Gozo Exhibition Hall, St. Francis Square, Victoria, starting at 7.00pm.
