Gozo College Middle School was recently awarded the newly launched eTwinning School Label.
It is the only school in Gozo to be recognised with the Label, and in total only 11 schools from Malta achieved it.
eTwinning is the community for schools in Europe and was launched in 2005 as the main action of the European Commission’s eLearning Programme.
The eTwinning School Label was introduced in 2017 to recognise and reward the involvement, commitment, and dedication of not only individual eTwinning teachers, but also teams of teachers and school leaders within the same school.
The organisers said that 1,211 schools have been awarded the Label, and said that they are pioneers and recognised as leaders in areas such as:
Digital practice; eSafety practice; Innovative and creative approaches to pedagogy; Promoting continuous professional development of staff; Promoting collaborative learning practices with staff and students.
