This Saturday, Victoria will be rocking as – Leone Goes Pop – This year’s edition, presented by the Leone Philharmonic Society, is supported by Valletta 2018 and the Victoria Local Council.
Now in its 11th year, this open air production with the Leone Band, who will be joined by popular Maltese singers Claudia Faniello and Matthew James (ex-Red Electric), together with the support of local singers Fabian Galea, Francesca Sciberras, Michela Pace and the Aurora Youth Choir. The evening will be hosted by Daniel and Ylenia from 89.7 Bay.
The Leone Philharmonic Band, a ninety-piece wind band, will be under the baton of Maestro Colin Attard. The musical selection will include the best pieces of pop music, ranging from the oldies to the latest hits. From the band Pooh to Bruno Mars, this concert will surely have something to suit everyone’s taste.
The Society said that this year, Leone Goes Pop will be “greater than it has ever been before.” The setting for concert will be right in the heart of Gozo – Independence Square, Victoria.
The date to keep free is this Saturday, the 9th of June, starting at 9pm.
