€3,000 grant for Gozo’s ERRC for assisting Civil Protection Dept

€35,000 in grants as been presented between six NGOs, which help the Civil Protection Department, this was an increase of €10,000 on last year.
Gozo’s Emergency Response & Rescue Corps (ERRC), is one of those that has benefited and has received €3,000, a €500 increase on 2017.
The other NGOs to receive funds are; The Red Cross – €18,000, The Emergency Fire & Rescue Unit (EFRU) – €4,000, The St. John Rescue Corps €6,000, The St. John Ambulance €1,500 and Malta Armature Radio League (MARL) will both receive €2,500 each.
The presentation was made by the Minister for Home Affairs and National Security Michael Farrugia.
Minister Farrugia thanked the NGOs and encouraged them to continue their work together and support for each other.
Present for this award presentation were the Permanent Secretary Kevin Mahoney, Director of the Department of Civil Protection Emanuel Psaila, Director General Charles Vella, as well as representatives of NGOs.
