Gaulitanus Choir off on concert tour to East Anglia this monthA concert-tour in East Anglia, England, later this month, will conclude this year’s international commitments for Gozo’s Gaulitanus Choir.

The choir said that spanning from Cambridgeshire to Suffolk and Norfolk, this remarkably atypical East Anglia concert-tour follows invitations from four very established British choral groups/institutions and includes four artistic events.

The first, will be at the renowned Corpus Christi Chapel, University of Cambridge, courtesy of the Corpus Christi College Choir and its musical director Robin Walker – who will also accompany the choir on the organ.

Then a concert at the historic All Saints´ & St Margaret´s Church, Pakefield, Lowestoft follows. Organised by the Pakefield Singers – this actually being their well patronised annual concert anticipating the Christmas season – the concert will also feature the Pakefield Singers and the Waveney Winds.

The enchanting Church of St Michael the Archangel in Framlingham will host the third concert. This is organised by Seraphim, the professional female vocal ensemble from Suffolk, and their MD, top choir mistress Vetta Wise.

The final commitment will be at Norwich´s St John the Baptist Cathedral, the Roman Catholic mother church in East Anglia and the second largest RC church in Britain.

This concert is being organised courtesy of the Diocese of East Anglia Office for Sacred Music, the Norwich RC Cathedral´s musical director Daniel Justin, and its Dean, the VR Provost David Paul.

The Gaulitanus Choir will be conducted by its founder-director, Colin Attard – with some of his compositions also being performed during this concert-tour.

The repertoire being performed for the tour will essentially feature Maltese music, including compositions by Carmelo Pace, Charles Camilleri and Giuseppe Caruana.

This East Anglia concert-tour is endorsed by the Valletta 18 Foundation.
