Brexit effects on the UK and on Europe were discussed during an exchange of views at the European Parliament between Maltese MEP Alfred Sant and a group of activists of the Labour Party in the UK.
Crunch time: Negotiating the UK’s exit – A view of Brexit from beyond our borders, was the theme discussed.
Dr Sant briefed them about the Brexit situation as viewed at the European Parliament and explained how the Brexit negotiations had developed in the previous months.
The activists expressed concern at what could happen should no deal on Brexit be concluded and were interested in the options that could follow should a second referendum on Brexit be held in the future.
A short question and answer session followed. The meeting organised by UK Labour MEP Sion Simon.
