Two men arrested for allegedly selling drugs in St Francis SquareFollowing investigations, two men were arrested by Drugs Squad Police in Gozo on Thursday, for allegedly selling drugs in St Francis Square, Victoria.

Police said that a 45-year-old Maltese man who lives in Fontana, was found to have on his person heroin ready in packets to be sold. Police also said that an amount of suspected cocaine drugs were found in his residence together with items related with the abuse of drugs.

The second man, a 29-year-old Italian man, living in Marsalforn, was found in possession of cannabis grass ready to be sold, and from a search carried out in his home more packets of the same drug and cannabis seed were found, as well as items used in the cultivation of the same plant.

 

The men are expected to be arraigned in Court and Police investigations are still underway.
