Cold spell continues to affect the number of people donating bloodThe cold spell continues across the Maltese islands, and the number of people with illnesses that are associated with this are also increasing.

The National Blood Donation Service has said that this is also adversely affecting the number of people who are able to make blood donations,

The Service is therefore calling on people to please help with donations as it is important to sustain the current reserve.

The public on Gozo who are healthy are being invited to donate blood next Tuesday, the 29th of January, from 1:00pm-5:00pm – last registration 5:00pm – at the District Health Centre in Xewkija, located in Triq tall- Hamrija, between the Primary School and the Bocci Club.

The Service reminds everyone that it is important to always take your Identity Card, Driving License or Maltese Passport and to drink plenty of water beforehand.

The Service thanks everyone in advance who intends to donate.
