Fourth round of the Gozo Motocross Championship held on Sunday

The fourth round of the Championship 2018/19 was held on Sunday at Ta’ Xhajma Track, organised by the Gozo Motocross Association.
Following the postponement of this round in January due to bad weather making track conditions dangerous, Gozitan and Maltese riders were able to continue with the challenging championship races.
In Class D, seven riders, mostly beginners, participated throughout three challenging races. The GMA said that all of the riders pushed on until the very end. In this class young Isaac Bartolo was placed 1st, followed by David Mercieca and Anthony Fenech respectively.
Jorn Stellini acquiring maximum points in Class C, newcomer Daniel Portelli was placed second, followed very closely by Mathew Spiteri.In Class B Glenn Vella showed maximum strength as he raced against Robert Spiteri, who finished in second place behind Vella.
Steve Xuereb achieved first place in Class A, followed by David Dimech.
The GMA President, Frank Xuereb, presented trophies to each winner. Sunday’s event was also supported by DBAR Bar and Restaurant.Gozo Motocross Association said that Round 5 of the championship will be on Sunday, the 17th of February 2019 at Ta’ Xhajma motocross track. Races will start at 1pm.
The Association said that it encourages and welcomes new riders.
