A citizens’ rights meeting for UK nationals working and living on the Maltese Islands, is being hosted by British High Commissioner Stuart Gill.
High Commissioner Gill will answer questions regarding the status of their rights following Britain’s departure from the European Union.
“Since last month’s Town Hall meeting in Qawra, when over 250 UK Nationals attended, we have been pleased to hear the important statement by Prime Minister Muscat outlining Malta’s offer to UK Nationals living in Malta, which provides that UK Nationals can carry on living their lives broadly as they do now in any scenario,” said High Commissioner Gill.
“Next Wednesday’s meeting will help explain this offer and give further clarity to UK nationals on the status of their rights following the UK’s departure from the EU. Holding our event in Gozo reflects the British High Commission’s endeavour to reach as many British citizens working and living here as possible,” he added.
The meeting, next Wednesday, the 13th of February, at the Grand Hotel in Mgarr, Gozo, is from 6:00pm until 7:30pm, will be free of charge and open to all interested UK nationals. Representatives from the Maltese government will also participate.
