Funding assistance provided for the voluntary sector in GozoDuring a brief ceremony, 31 Gozitan NGOs were presented with funds, totaling €16,000 having successfully applied to obtain financial assistance through one of three schemes launched by the Ministry for Gozo,  to carry out their projects and initiatives

The Minister for Gozo Justyne Caruana, while welcoming the successful organisations and individuals, also announced that more such schemes will be launched in the near future. Dr Caruana mentioned that the amount of aid available this year greatly exceeded that of last year.

The organisations that received funding were:
