Parliament has this evening unanimously approved a resolution for the Government to carry out a permanent link between Gozo and Malta.
The Government in a statement said, that it is now not only an electoral mandate but also mandated by Parliament to make this project happen.
The Prime Minister reiterated that the realisation and consensus on this project are a matter of political credibility because it is a major promise in the political manifestos of all political parties that are in Parliament.
This is the largest infrastructure project ever seen in the history of our country, the Prime Minister said, and the studies and reports on the project will be published in due time.
He added that one of the things that will be considered when carrying out of this project is the excavated materials that will be created, and therefore at this stage, the Prime Minister said they will not exclude any option.
