Donation of children's books and launch of Kids Book Club GozoAs part of the celebrations to mark World Book Day and Libraries Day in Gozo, the Minister for Gozo Dr Justyne Caruana visited the Central Public Library in Victoria to present the Ministry’s annual book contribution.

The Gozo Central Public Library is also launching the Kids Book Club Gozo as part of this programme of celebrations.

This opens tomorrow, Saturday, the 27th of April, with an – Introduction to a Book Club – discussion and question and answer sessions with illustrator Cynthia Saliba for children in school years 1-3 and 4-6, from 9/00am-11.30am.

The Book Club will then start meeting up every last Saturday of the month as shown in the timetable below:

GRP 1: School Years 1-3 (9:00 – 10:00 am) GRP 2: School Years 4-6 ( 10:30 – 11:30am)

Gozo Central Public Library said that during each session, the children will have the opportunity to read, discuss and attend activities that encourage creativity and self expression.

All the books in the list can be borrowed for free from the library ahead of the meetings if you enrol as a member of Malta Libraries.
