Victoria Hotspurs win BOV GFA Cup for the first time since 1998Victoria Hotspurs win the BOV GFA Cup 2019 in an exciting match held on Sunday afternoon at the Gozo stadium.

Victoria beat rivals Nadur Youngsters 3-2 with the winning goal coming in the second half of extra time from Emiliano Lattes.

During the first half, Nadur opened a 2-0 lead and it looked like the Hotspurs were not going to break their jinx of missing out on the GFA Cup since 1998.

However, with two goals scored in the second half it meant that the game went in to extra-time, but Victoria avoided the penalty shootout with a goal on the 10th minute of the second half of extra time to clinch the GFA Cup

The BOV GFA Cup was presented to Victoria by Horace Laudi, Chief Officer at Bank of Valletta and Dr Samuel Azzopardi, President of the Gozo Football Association.

Horace Laudi also presented the BOV GFA Player of the Month trophy for April 2018 to Emiliano Lattes.
