9000 bottles of DOK Gozo wines to be exported to Japan

Gozitan producer Ta’ Mena Estate, will be exporting 9000 bottles of DOK Gozo wines to Japan, a first for this market.
Parliamentary Secretary Camilleri made the announcement during a visit to the estate in Gozo, saying that he had visited Japan a few months ago with the aim of establishing bilateral contacts on the basis of business and with the possibility of trade between the two countries.
The Parliamentary Secretary spoke about the promotion campaign for Wines of Distinction, undertaken in conjunction with wine producers DOK Malta, DOK Gozo and IGT Maltese Islands wines, which he said, has proved to be a success.
Managing Director of Ta’ Mena Estate Joe Spiteri, explained that they grow vines to produce good wines in Gozo with particular characteristics. He remarked that he “felt proud that many of their varieties are certified DOK Gozo which is the highest certification for local wines.
