A number of activities – Gozo Pops and Rocks – are being organised in Gozo during the long weekend for the Sette Giugno Public Holiday, between Thursday, the 6th and Sunday, the 9th of June.
The announcement was made by the Minister for Gozo Dr Justyne Caruana, who said that the varied programme includes both new and existing activities in the cultural calender
She explained that this is because established events like RockAstra, Leone Goes Pop and the Santa Lucija Wine Festival are now part of this programme, with two new additions which started last year – the Gozo Honey and Bee Fest, and l-Festa Ghawdxija, plus another new festival with activities for children.
Dr Caruana said that the Ministry is committed to continue to assist Gozitan organisations in producing quality activities “through which more children and young people will aspire to discover their talents and contribute for the good of society and the tourism industry.”
The Minister for Gozo concluded that “such activities are also important in further promoting Gozo as a year-round tourist destination through a package of activities that are periodic and theme related.
