5 Gozo Local Councils will know results of the elections later today

Local Council elections vote counting starts today - with 5 in GozoThe Local Council election counting process begins today, and it is the first time following a Legal Notice in 2015, that all 67 localities across Gozo and Malta are up for election at the same time.

For the Local Elections in Gozo, the voter turnout was highest in Kercem at 76.64% and the lowest was in San Lawrenz at 51.60%. For a list of each locality please click here.

The counting process will be held today, Thursday ad Friday. The Electoral Commission has said that the start of the vote sorting will be at 2pm on each of the three afternoons, while the counting should start at around 5pm, with results expected from the localities of that day at around 11pm.

In Gozo, the localities and days are as follows:

On Wednesday, it will be Ghajnsielem, Nadur, Fontana, Xewkija and Ghasri.

On Thursday, Victoria, Xaghra, Gharb and Sannat.

Lastly on Friday it will be the turn of Munxar, Qala, Zebbug, San Lawrenz and Kercem.
