Revised opening hours for Identity Malta "to offer a better service"Identity Malta has said that in response to the growing demand for all of its services, the Agency is revising its opening hours and procedures as well as recruiting additional personnel as previously planned.

In a statement, the Agency said that the current system used at the Expatriates Unit will no longer be in place but instead new front desk opening hours will be introduced from this Monday, the 17th of June.

The Expatriates Unit will receive applications between 7:30am and 11:30am from Monday to Friday and resume processing afterwards.

Identity Malta explained that its officials will be attending to the needs of all those queueing during that window period.

The Central Visa Unit, as from Monday, the 1st of July will be accepting general queries and the submission of applications between 8:00am and 2:00pm from Monday to Friday.

The Central Visa Unit’s extended opening hours will increase customer contact time by 12 hours per week, the Agency said.

It concluded by saying that these measures are intended to meet customer demands better.

      Thought they already accepted applications for residence cards for 4 hours every morning so where is the increase in opening hours?
