Festa day enjoyed by students at the `Happy School' in VictoriaGozo College Victoria Primary School, has for the third consecutive year, organised its annual festa day.

On Monday, the `Happy School’ yard was decorated with banners and flags thanks to the St. George’s and Santa Marija’s feasts committees who had volunteered to do the decorations for Tuesday’s feast day.

Students were encouraged to wear their festa gear and bring along confetti, statues, balloons and any other accessories to add to the festa spirit. The event started just after 11am when all the children gathered in the school yard.

There was an explosion of colours, merriment, small fireworks, and of course band marches, which were played on the school’s sound system. There was also plenty of confetti adding to the festive atmosphere.

The school said that, “this activity managed to group all students together despite the fact that they hail from different parishes. There should be no rivalry or division but unity. We can disagree on a number of issues, including village festas, but these should never infringe upon friendship, tolerance and acceptance of the other.”

The Festa Day was one of the many activities carried out at the school during this scholastic year which is about to come to an end.

Lelio Spiteri Head of School, thanked all those who made this event possible, including educators, parents, the Ghaqda Armar San Gorg and the Ghaqda Armar Santa Marija.
