The National Blood Transfusion Service has said that the number of accidents currently being reported in the news are testament to the ongoing need for blood donations.
The Service is therefor calling on Gozitans to continue to support the health service in our country by giving blood.
Those who want to respond to the appeal are being asked to consider donating blood during a session in Gozo this Sunday, the 23rd of June.
The District Health Centre in Xewkija will be taking donations between 8:00am to 1:00pm (last registration until 1:00pm).
The Centre is located in Triq tall- Hamrija, between the Primary School and the Bocci Club.
The Service reminded that it is important to always take your Identity Card, or Driving License or Maltese Passport and to drink plenty of water beforehand.
The Service thanks everyone in advance who intends to donate.
