Pilgrimage to Ta’ Pinu Shrine marks two important anniversaries

A pilgrimage organised by the Archdiocese of Malta and of the Diocese of Gozo to the Shrine of Our Lady of Ta’ Pinu in Gharb, Gozo, took place this this morning.
The pilgrimage was to mark the 400th anniversary of the portrait of the Blessed Virgin of Ta’ Pinu and 136th anniversary of the call of Our Lady to Carmela Grima and Francis Portelli.
It was conducted by Archbishop Charles J. Scicluna. Also taking part were the Bishop of Gozo Mario Grech, the Auxiliary Bishop Joseph Galea-Curmi, Bishop George Bugeja O.F.M., Archbishop Emeritus Paul Cremona O.P. and Bishop Emeritus Paul Darmanin, O.F.M.
The pilgrimage began with the Supplication request and Pontifical Mass celebrated by Archbishop Scicluna along with diocesan priests and the religious of the two dioceses.
