‘Seher il-Punet’ to be held at Gharb this month

'Seher il-Punet' to be held at Gharb next monthGharb Local Council are once again organising the annual ‘Seher il-Punent.’ To take place at Gharb Parish Church Square and along Church street from Thursday, the 19th of March until Sunday, the 22nd March, at 8.00pm until midnight each day.

On the 19th of March a traditional meal will be prepared by tal-Qiegha Folk Foundation consisting of a 4 course meal. Tickets for the meal will be adults €10 and children €5 There will also be entertainment, folk Groups and music during the evening.

During the day of the 20th of March from 10am there will be re-enactments and guided tours around the village. In the evening on the main stage there will be live entertainment including J Anvil Cash and the Band, and also for the first time on a visit to the Maltese Islands, Aleandro Baldi. Wine tasting will also be available and exhibitions of photography and art on show. Museums will also be open.

The last day of the event, the 21st of March Malta Song for Europe 2009 Finalists Chiara, Eleonor, Cassar, Q – Leontine, Pamela, Fiona, Luca and Glen will be entertaining, as well as Winter Moods. The wine Tasting, photography and art exhibitions and museums will also be open

There will be many food, sweets and wine stalls in the area and also a bar point.

‘Seher il-Punet’ is being held in collaboration with the Ministry for Gozo, the Parliamentary Secretary for Public Dialogue, Coca Cola, Wasteserv and Nescafe.

The entrance to the event is free along will all the entertainment, and the Gharb Local Council said it warmly invites everyone to attend and join in the activities.
