Arkadia introduces top German fashion brandArkadia Marketing have announced that after securing the franchising rights of German feminine-value-fashion brand Orsay, Arkadia has introduced Orsay to the local fashion scene with its first flagship store at Arkadia Commercial Centre.

The first Orsay outlet was opened at Arkadia Commercial Centre on Friday, the 12th of June 2009. Initial comments from customers were encouraging where female shoppers explored the new brand and were impressed with the wide quality, choice, and value offer provided by Orsay.

Brian Mizzi, Managing Director of Arkadia commented that “Arkadia has been quite active despite the current business climate. We are continuing to find and secure the right brands for the local retail scene. We are confident that Orsay will become another attractive proposition to our customers.”

“We are still mid-way through 2009 but one should note that Orsay is actually the fourth development at Arkadia Commercial Centre this year. The Gozo-based company owned by the Mizzi Organisation has been active with refurbishment works at Springfield and Women’Secret, as well as the introduction of Pearl Health & Beauty. Now Orsay is yet another cog to re-affirm Arkadia Commercial Centre as Gozo’s major shopping destination.”

Antoine Portelli, General Manager of Arkadia commented, “We will continue to satisfy our customers’ expectations with a positive shopping experience. Our efforts continue to focus on attracting more brands to offer more quality, choice, and value to our customers.”

Arkadia said that the product offer is focused on providing feminine fashion clothing at value prices. Orsay’s collections are combined into 3 focused looks – casual, city, and formal.

The addition of Orsay to Arkadia’s current fashion portfolio is actually the third acquisition in three years after securing the franchising rights of Peacocks (UK) and Piazza Italia (Italy). One can also mention that Arkadia has now established potential business relations in three EU member states – the United Kingdom, Italy, and Germany.

The company concluded by saying as Arkadia has embarked with the expansion of Piazza Italia outlets with a new outlet in Birkirkara, the company is considering other ORSAY outlet openings in Malta as the right opportunities arise.
