Long ferry queues as Maltese flock to Gozo on Boxing Day

Maltese have been flocking to Gozo on Boxing Day to enjoy the fabulous weather and ongoing festive celebrations.

These include the live Istrina event in the Villa Rundle Gardens and of course the Bethlehem f’Ghajnsielem Nativity Village, which is animated today between 2.30 and 7pm.

However, getting to Gozo did take some time this morning with the Maltese Roads Traffic Updates facebook page advising that their were long delays to Cirkewwa, starting as far back as th Popeye Village. The situation had improved by around 2.15pm.
