I invested is an electric motorbike. It is very handy and easily parked. It is quicker not because I drive past but I can easily overtake jammed traffic, safely and easily. The only problem that I find is I cannot drive in a straight line because I have to navigate around pot holes! Avoiding the numerious street holes forces me to put my life in danger. I do not blame car drivers getting angry when a biker is zig-zaging in front of his car but what is my alternative? If I stumble in a hole in Wistin Cammilleri Street in Rabat, be assured that I will break the motorbike axle. The electric bikes are an excellent introduction but they are not sustainable as long as the roads are not maintained properly and in fact I believe the Council or whoever is responsible for road maintenance should be fined by drivers because we do pay for this.
