Il-Hagar Museum in Gozo is the venue for two exhibitions celebrate the successful launch of the first catalogue of the wide range of covers produced by the Gozo Philatelic Society since its foundation in 1999.
The full colour detailed publication, compiled by Mark-Anthony Poulton, has been well received since its launch.
The GPS is very well known for these productions, designed by resident artist Anthony Grech, to commemorate events and for stamps connected with Gozo. The GPS said that “regular subscribers include those who are not really philatelists but are more interested in Melitensia.”
The exhibition on level 2 can be visited till Saturday, the 3rd of June. It shows a cross section of these covers, arranged thematically.
That on level -1 shows over twenty of the original designs used for these productions. This continues till mid June. As usual visitors can pick up copies of the GPS Newsletter, crammed with assorted articles.
Il-Hagar, which is located in St George’s Square, Victoria, is open seven days a week from 9am to 5pm, without any entrance fee.
