This Friday, the beautiful Hondoq Bay will again be the backdrop for one of summer’s largest events – Hondoq by Night Festival.
Organised by Qala Saints FC, the Local Council, Ministry for Tourism and the Ministry for the Environment, together with the Ministry for Gozo, this 11th edition of the event promises to once again attract thousands of people to Gozo for a night to remember.
The line up for the Hondoq by Night Festival will include some of the best local artists, among them, Cash & Band ft, Sean Kamati, Tenishia, Perez, Nikki and Darco.
This festival takes place once again against a background of a clear and strong message in favour of the environment – single-use plastic, which is a danger to our seas, will not be used during the event in order not to contaminate the area.
The evening starts at 8pm and will go through to the early hours of Saturday morning. Tickets will be available at the door, the organisers said.
As always, traditional flaming lanterns and special light effects will illuminate this beautiful bay throughout the evening, creating a magical atmosphere for visitors of all ages to enjoy.
As in previous years, for security reasons, the road leading to the Bay will be closed for traffic from the early afternoon. Free shuttle buses will operate all night long between the entrance and the event.
The organisers have requested that patrons please follow official instructions and avoid parking in places which may cause traffic congestion.
