A 50-year old man from Nadur lost his life on Friday evening in an accident at a factory in Xewkija, Gozo.
The man had just got out of the skip loader truck he was driving when it rolled backwards and trapped him against a wall.
A medical team from the Gozo General Hospital and members of the Civil Protection Department were called to assist. Unfortunately the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
An Magisterial Inquiry is underway. Police and OHSA investigations are ongoing.
