Earlier this evening, Gozitan singers Francesca Sciberras and Mikaela Bajada were greeted upon their arrival in Gozo, after winning the Junior Song for Europe yesterday.
A large number of people, especially relatives of the two young singers, were gathered to welcome them back. Shortly afterwards, a carcade around Gozo followed, with stops in both Fontana and Munxar – the hometowns of Francesca and Mikaela respectively.
In Munxar, they were greeted by the Parish Priest and the Mayor, and by a number of Munxar citizens who proudly turned out to celebrate the achievement of their young talented residents.

Congratulations to the two Gozitan singers for their success in the Junior Song for Europe.
I’m sure they deserved this success since they have such a great personality on stage and above all such good voices.
Well done Francesca and Mikaela!!!

Well Done to them both, I saw Mikaela perform at Munxar Feast in May and she was really good, all that hard work and effort has paid off, I think both girls will have a good future ahead of them. Back in Munxar next week a shame we were not over to have been part of the greeting party. Really good for our village of Munxar
