An evening of – Traditions: Wine, Olive Oil and Honey, which was held in the pretty village of Ghasri on Saturday, has been hailed as an “amazing success.”
Ghasri Square was packed with visitors for this special evening, where they were able to enjoy wine and honey tasting activities and olive oil delicacies including sweets and olive oil ice cream, as well as the very popular traditional sweet honey pastries.
There were demonstrations on the production of wine and olive oil, beehive and honey wax displays, and an exhibition of old statues and frames, antique tools exhibition and a children’s area.
Entertainment during the evening was provided by Cash & Band, Freddie Portelli, Rebecca & The Passengers and DJ Ryan.
The Ghasri Local Council organised the event in collaboration with the Directorate of Cultural Heritage within the Ministry for Gozo.
The Council thanked the wonderful team behind the organisation and also expressed its thanks to all those who attended and making it such a memorable evening.
