I have just returned from Gozo and as per normal I had a great time. I just would like to make a comment re dumping of litter in bulk on the slopes of Hondoq.

I took a friend for the first time down the slopes only to see several dumps of rubbish full of builders rubble, plastic and general litter. Why do people break the law like this and ruin a very special island!

I am sure the police could be more active in watching this area. This will put tourists off visiting Gozo and this is also not good for local people who enjoy such a great location.

I was taken to see Qala play in a local football match and observed at least 6 police officers on duty for a crowd of 45 made up of families the police must have the resource to stamp illegal rubbish dumping.
