In October, the annual rate of inflation as measured by the Retail Price Index (RPI) was 3.7%, down from 4.1% in September, the National Statistics Office said today.
The largest upward impact on annual inflation was measured in the Food Index (+1.47 percentage points). The NSO noted that once again, this was mainly due to higher take-away prices.
The largest downward impact was recorded in the Clothing and footwear Index (-0.09 percentage points). This was mainly reflecting lower prices garments, the NSO said.
The 12-month moving average rate for October stood at 5.7%.
