The Ghajnsielem Local Council welcomed a delegation from the Italian town of Tolfa to celebrate the end of the Christmas festivities in the locality.
The delegation was included the Deputy Mayor Laura Pennese and the Assesore Alessandro Tagliani.
Mementos were exchanged between the two localities during the visit.
The Mayor of Ghajnsielem Kevin Cauchi said that, “we are proud of this solid friendship which this year is celebrating 20 years of twinning.”
The Local Council of Ghajnsielem is twinned with the Municipality of Tolfa, which is located 60 kilometres from Rome and has a population of around 5,000 people, with remains which date back to the Etruscan period.
It is the main centre in the mountainous region Monti della Tolfa, an extinct volcanic area.
