The World is held hostage, by Lino DeBono

Ever since I was born, it was imprinted in my mind that America and Britain were the bastions and beacon lights for the world to follow due to their upholding of “Civil Liberties” and “Democratic Values.”

From the League of Nations in which Britain and France were still dominant as World Powers, to the 2nd World War, these two nations knew that their world dominance was finished and had now been taken over by other more powerful Nations, i.e. America, Russia and China. But these two still had enough influence to also join the “Elite 5.”

Britain who had the official mandate to rule over Palestine conceded its mandate after the Jewish Rebels named “Freedom Fighters” (not terrorists) led by Ben Gurian, blew up the King David Hotel with all the British Official’s Headquarters in it.

Britain after this withdrew from its mandate of Palestine and passed the problem in front of the United Nations. The UN decided, first by Russia and then followed by America and the rest of Nations to cede one third of Palestine as a State for a new Jewish Nation.

The Arabs did not accept this and a war broke out with Israel eventually winning against all the rest.

Then the “Nakba” followed. Thousands upon thousands of Palestinians were forcibly removed from their homes and country and exiled to Lebanon where they still are to this present day. The Jewish State prevented any of these Palestinian refugees from returning to Palestine.

All Laws and Regulations in Palestine were kept under Israeli control and authority.

In 1968 the Palestinian’sand Egypt fought once again with Israel and once again suffered a defeat. Later Egypt fought back and recovered some land back.

Since then Gaza & Western Palestine have been governed solely by the Israeli Authorities in all aspects. All communications, monies, taxes, materials, movements, etc, are controlled by Israel.

The Five Super Powers

All the nations in the whole world, even if they all agree, can be overturned by one of the Super Five. The World is and can be held hostage by any one of these five nations.

So one must ask “How can only one country go against the rest the world and hold it hostage?”

The Last Two American Presidents

In these past years America has had two Presidents, both of whom have been misguided in my view, on the real meaning of upholding the “Values of the Free World.”

First there was Mr Donald Trump who by a decision of “America First” left the European Union on its own. Which opened Europe and NATO’s eyes to how weak they were without the backing of America.

Now America has another President who is giving a free hand to Israel for this continuing destruction and the massacre of civilians in Gaza. Including the destruction of residential buildings, hospitals, schools, UN Facilities, and the killings of thousands of innocent Palestinian civilians.

Nowhere is safe. Food, medicine, water and telecommunications are being stopped and/or limited from entering Gaza by the Israeli Military.

Palestinians Citizens/Children are starving and getting sick by the thousands. During all this the world is looking on without doing anything to stop this massacre due to America’s vote blocking what 153 other nations have called for.

People even from the West Bank, led not by Hamas, but by Al Fatah, are being arrested in their thousands daily and many have been killed. Prisoners are held captive for years upon years and they have absolutely no right of appeal in the courts.

This is “Genocide” which is happening in front of our very own eyes.

The latest beastly happening by the Israeli Army in Gaza was the bulldozing upheaval of buried bodies from their graves which were then run over by tanks and bulldozers.

In my long years in this world I have never ever heard or seen anything like this happening. It is a total disgrace upon whoever ordered this destruction and evil action to be carried out.

Conclusion

I, who always held America and the Americans as the “Beacon Light Of Democracy,” am now changing these former beliefs and teachings.

To keep supporting an “Invasion” on an occupied People and Country, is against any “Human Rights” that exist and has to stop immediately.

If America wants to continue upholding “True – Real Values of Decency in a Democratic World,” it is time for it to take the appropriate steps to do the right thing for one and all.

It must insist that Israel stops this massacre and destruction and ensure that the Palestinian People are given the right to have their own Country, Freedom and Democracy.
