Mayor of Gharb David Apap and the Gharb Councillors, recently embarked on a visit to Cabrières-d’Avignon in France, where they met with Mayor Delphine Cresp Pirola and the Local Councillors to explore potential new twinning arrangements.
Nestled just 45 minutes away from Marsilia, this charming French village is home to approximately 1,800 residents and shares similarities with the village of Gharb.
Mementoes of the visit were exchanged between the two localities.
The Gharb Council explained that known for its natural beauty and rich traditions, Cabrières-d’Avignon offers a tranquil and secure environment for its inhabitants, making it an ideal setting for fostering cultural exchange and partnership between the two communities.
