End The Stereotypes – is the theme for this year’s World Down Syndrome Day, which was celebrated in Gozo on Thursday with an event for children at the Citadel.
Each year, the 21st of March is recognised as a global awareness day, and has been officially observed by the UN since 2012.
Minister for Gozo and Planning Clint Camilleri, joined with young students at the event, where together they delivered “one strong message in favour of unity and inclusion.”
The Minister said that “everyone, with their abilities, has something to contribute to society.”
