Applications are being accepted from eligible persons to serve as assistant electoral commissioners and counting staff in the forthcoming European Parliament and Local Councils’ elections due on Saturday, the 8th of June.
The Electoral Commission advised that applications are now being received online (electoral.gov.mt/applynow [1]) till Monday, the 15th of April, at 7.00pm.
Alternatively, applicants may submit their application by visiting the ID Cards Office, 28A, St. Francis Square, Victoria, Gozo, the Electoral Office, Counting Hall Complex (Ex-Trade Fair Grounds), In-Naxxar, as from today Monday, the 1st of April, till Monday, 15th April, from 8.00am to 1.00pm and from 3.00pm till 7.00pm, between Monday and Friday and on Saturdays from 8.00am to 1.00pm. Applicants who call personally must bring their Identity Card.
Given that access to the Electoral Office premises in Naxxar is currently restricted due to infrastructural works in the vicinity, it is recommended that one reaches the Electoral Office through Triq Giuseppe Scicluna, on the left side of the Naxxar Parish Church, and proceeding on the left side upon reaching Pjazza Celsi.?
