A 63 year-old man was seriously injured after he fell down the stairs of his residence in Kercem on Tuesday evening.
Police said that the accident happened at around 7.30pm in Triq il-Gamiem.
He was given first assistance at the scene by a medical team before being taken to the Gozo General Hospital, where he was later certified to have sustained serious injuries.
Duty Magistrate Simone Grech has appointed an inquiry, while police investigations are ongoing.
